The Met Dept. says that there will be several spells of showers in the Western, Sabaragamuwa, Southern and Central provinces.
Thundershowers will develop at several places in the Eastern and Uva provinces during the afternoon or evening.
The Dept. also predicts strong winds to occur over the country (particularly over hilly areas) and surrounding sea area at times.
There may be temporary localized strong winds during thundershowers.
General public is requested to take adequate precautions to minimize damages caused by lightning activity.
