    Fourth Aid plane to Nepal today

    The fourth plane carrying aid for the thousands of earthquake affected Nepalese will leave Monday (11) morning to Nepal. Sri Lanka assisted Nepal in various ways from the time of the disaster.

    A stock of goods weighing 18 tons have been prepared for dispatch to Nepal on the instructions of President Maithripala Sirisena. Garments, tents and footwear are included in the stock of aid.

     

    Handing over of goods that have been prepared to be sent to Nepal, took place yesterday under the patronage of Minister A.H.M. Fowzie.

     

    Following initiatives of President Maithripala Sirisena, Commander-in -Chief and Prime Minister Ranil Wickremasinghe, under the close supervision of the Commander of the Army, Lieutenant General Crishantha De Silva, dispatch of the Army relief contingents, were organized in close coordination with the Disaster Management Centre, Ministry of Health and Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
