Deputy Minister of Higher Education Dr. Sudarshini Fernandopulle said that the student hostel constructed at the Eastern University in Batticaloa will be vested in the students on 9th of this month. She said that out of the 60 hostel facilities being erected for the universities in the country, work on the construction of 30 hostels has now been completed.
The Minister said that in addition to the construction work being carried out on 30 hostels, work on another 3 hostels is now being carried out and these hostels are of high standard.
She made this statement while addressing a media conference held at the Government Information Department today (07).
