Minister Kariyawasam explained that the Government’s aim is to effect significant changes to the education sector through the introduction of such a system.

The Minister was speaking at a ceremony held at the Education Ministry to give away awards and certificates to winners of the School Information Technology Championship competition organized last year. It was organized by the Information and Communications Branch of the Education Ministry for the seventh occasion.

Secretary, Ministry of Edjucation Upali Marasinghe and Director of the Information Technology Division Neel Gunadasa were present at at the ceremony.
