The stamps, in the denominations of Rs. 8, Rs. 10 and Rs. 50 , were launched under the patronage of Buddha Sasana, Public Administration and Democratic Governance Minister Karu Jayasuriya, at the Ministry of Buddha Sasana, yesterday.

Three special stamps have been issued to mark the National Vesak Week. The stamps depict Amisa and Pratipatti poojas (material and spiritual practices of meritorious deeds) along with a souvenir sheet.
