Showers or thundershowers will occur at several places in the inland in the afternoon or evening. In addition to that showers can be expected in Colombo, Kaluthara, Galle, Matara districts & and in the eastern coastal areas in the morning too.

More than 100mm rainfalls are likely at some places.

The Met Dept. also said that there may be temporary localized strong winds during thundershowers.

General public is requested to take adequate precautions to minimize damages caused by lightning activity.
