According to the weather forecast issued by the Met Dept.  light showers will occur at several places in the Eastern and Uva provinces and in the Hambantota district. Showers or thundershowers will develop at several places elsewhere during the afternoon or evening with temporary localized strong winds during thundershowers the Met Dept. further said.
