The restriction had been ordered today (09) by the Galle Magistrate preventing Gotabaya Rajapaksa as well as several others including former Navy Commander Admiral Somathilake Dissanayake, Director of Rakna Arakshaka Lanka (Pvt.) Ltd Major General (retd) K. Egodawela and Managing Director of Avant Garde Manjula Yapa, from leaving the country.
The CID had requested the travel restriction to be imposed in order to facilitate the investigation into the Avant Garde floating armoury.
