Chief of Defence Staff, Tri-Forces Commanders and Security Forces Commander - Wanni welcomed the Minister on his arrival to the Wanni Air-Force base. Proceedings replete with guard of honour added military traditions to the highly regarded reception.

In a concise clarification Minister Wijewardene was enlightened on the Wanni security forces operations, civil-military cooperation and security matters in the region by the Commander SFHQ-Wanni Maj. General Boniface Perera.

Following to a troop address the Minister declared open a newly constructerd Station Mess (officers living quarters) in SFHQ-Wannicomprised with all amenities .

While paying his gratitude for the first official visit to the Wanni by the Minister, Maj. General Perera presented a set of edification sentimental books as token of appreciation during the session.
