The NWP Health Ministry said that Rs. 875 million has been set apart for this program from the 2015 NWP decentralised budget, out of which Rs. 250 million will be allocated for health activities in Puttalam district.

Some activities included in the program are the inauguration of central dispensaries in rural areas, construction of hospital wards, official quarters for doctors and nurses and medical equipment and laboratory facilities will be provided to hospitals.
