2015 is the ninth consecutive year that the Central Bank announces its plans and policy direction for the forthcoming period to all stakeholders. Since the first Road Map in 2007, the Central Bank has been at the forefront of a remarkable transformation of the Sri Lankan economy. This transformation did not come easy, and was achieved amidst skepticism & brickbats of some, and accolades from others
At this annual event, the Governor Ajith Nivard Cabraal is expected to elucidate the current state of the economy and the financial sector, and also unveil the Central Bank’s plans and policy direction for the period 2015-2020 for the benefit of all stakeholders of the economy. Dr. P.B.Jayasundera, Secretary to the Ministry of Finance and Planning is also scheduled to speak.
The event will be held at the Bandaranaike Memorial International Conference Hall (BMICH), Bauddaloka Mawatha, Colombo 7, and the proceedings will commence at 9.30am on 2nd January 2015.
