With the coordination of Headquarter 62 Division, a Tree Planting programme was organized by 621 Brigade and 9th (Volunteer) Sri Lanka Light Infantry along the road leading to Sampath Nuwara, Ranaviru Piyasa village recently. 'Ranaviru Piyasa Sampath Nuwara’, is a model housing complex in Welioya area , dedicated for residential purposes of tri-service War Heroes.
At this event 80 plants of teak, mahogany, kaya, jack plants provided by the National Housing Development Authority office in Mullaitivy were planted.
Among the participants at the event were Civil Affairs Officer 62 Division, Brigade Major 621 Brigade and 20 members of NHDA, Mullaitivu officials and workers. (KH)
