The Asian Development Bank has granted financial assistance amounting to Rs.300 million for the project.

A special discussion on re-settling the displaced people, took place at the Badulla District Secretary’s office.

District Secretary Rohana Dissanayake said that those who are at the Poonagala Tamil Maha Vidyalaya would be relocated to the old tea factory at the Poonagala Estate. The Army has converted the Tea Factory into an attractive housing complex with all facilities.
