The clinic was conducted to improve the health standards of newly-resettled families in Baththalangunduwa, Uchchamunai, Sinnagunduwa and Palliyawatta.
Treatments were given to communicable, non-communicable and respiratory diseases, child health as well as old age health problems. Women health care at primary level was also looked in to during the clinic. A large number of patients attended the clinic. Medicine and nutritional supplements were provided free of charge.
A team of medical professionals including Medical Officers from Biyagama and Kelaniya along with consultants, pharmacists and midwives rendered assistance to the successful conducted of the field health clinic.
