The programme was attended by 150 children from two schools in Kotte and Puttalam. It is conducted with the assistance of Airport and Aviation (Sri Lanka) Ltd, Sri Lankan Airlines and Sri Lankan Catering. Making a brief speech during the occasion the Secretary said that there are numerous avenues of employment opportunities in various sectors and aviation is one such sector that can provide better employment prospects to these children.

The programme was attended by a number of officials in the aviation sector including the Chairmen of the Civil Aviation Authority, Ananda Wimalasena and Airport and Aviation (Sri Lanka) Ltd,. Saman Ediriweera.
