    Cash donation to athlete who won gold medal at 2018 Asian Athletics Championship

    President handed over a cash donation to athlete Parami Wasanthi Maristella, who won gold medal at 2018 Asian Junior Athletics Championship President Maithripala Sirisena handed over a donation of Rs 15 lakhs to athlete Parami Wasanthi Maristella, who won the gold medal at the recently held 2018 Asian Junior Athletics Championship.

    President Sirisena appreciated the talents of this girl as well as her achievements at national and international level and the President also extended his best wishes for her future endeavors.

    This girl who is in the 11th grade of Kuliyapitiya Central is continuing her work under lot of financial difficulties where the President said that he would support her in the future for her father’s profession as a seamen as well as for the welfare of her family.

     Minister of Sports Faiszer Musthapha and the parents of the girl were also present in this event.
