First Commonwealth Woman Entrepreneur of the year 2013

The first Commonwealth Woman Entrepreneur of the year 2013 awards ceremony organized by the Women's Chamber of Industry and Commerce in partnership with the Commonwealth Business Council was held at the Kingsbury Hotel, Colombo recently.

CEO and Proprietor, Delight Uganda Ltd Julian Omala was adjudged the winner and she received the award from Economic Development Minister Basil Rajapaksa.

Yolanda Aluwihare of Yoland Collection won the Woman Enterpruner Gold award for 2014

The National Savings Bank was the main sponsor for the first Commonwealth Women Entrepreneur Award, while the Associated Newspapers of Ceylon Ltd. was the media sponsor.

Foreign Affairs Minister, Prof. G.L. Peiris and President, Women’s Chamber of Industry and Commerce, Dr. Sarasti Dubash were present. (KH)
