More than 150 inmates of the home for the incurables were benefitted by the free medical clinic manned by medical officers and staff of the Air Force hospital. Spectacles were also provided for those with visual imparements.

The Commander of the Air Force, Air Marshal Kapila Jayampathy, was also present during the occasion. The Victoria Home for Incurables provides accommodation with medical care for those who by birth, illness or other causes had become unable to work and whose conditions are of incurable nature.
