He further revealed that in Polpithigama, Melsiripura areas in the Kurunegala District ginger has been cultivated in an area of 80 hectares. It is also planned to cultivate in a land extent of 100 hectares, this year.
Ginger cultivation is profitable as a kilo of ginger could be sold at a price of Rs.525/-. he further said.(KH)
