Showers will occur at times in the Northern, North-central, Eastern and Uva provinces and Matale and Hambantota districts. Showers or thundershowers will occur at several places elsewhere after 2.00 p.m.

Fairly heavy falls (above 75mm) can be expected in the Northern and Eastern provinces and in the Polonnaruwa and Matale districts.

Temporary localized strong winds during thundershowers are expected and the public is requested to take adequate precautions to minimize damages caused by lightning.
