Several spells of showers will occur in the Eastern, Uva and Central provinces today (17^th Dec), it says.

Showers or thundershowers will occur in Western and Sabaragamuwa provinces and in the Galle and Matara districts particularly after 2.00 p.m.

Fairly strong gusty winds (up to 50kmph) can be expected over the island.

Misty conditions can be expected at some places in the Western, Sabaragamuwa and Central provinces during the morning.
