Showers or thundershowers will occur at times in Northern, North-Central, Eastern and Uva provinces and elsewhere after 2.00 p.m.

Fairly heavy showers (about 75mm) can be expected in Eastern, Northern, North-central and Uva provinces.

Fairly strong gusty winds (up to 50kmph) can be expected in the Western, Sabaragamuwa and Uva provinces and in Ampara and Batticaloa districts.

Temporary localized strong winds during thundershowers are expected and the public is requested to take adequate precautions to minimize damages caused by lightning.
