It said that, showers or thundershowers will occur over most provinces of the island today (8th Nov.) after 2.00 p.m.

Showers will occur in the Northern and Eastern provinces and in Hambantota District in the morning too.

Heavy falls (about 100 mm within 24hrs) can be expected at some places, particularly in Western and Sabaragamuwa provinces and in Galle and Matara districts.

Misty conditions can be expected at some places in the Western, Sabaragamuwa and Central provinces during the morning, it further said.
