Showers or thundershowers will occur over most parts of the island after 2.00 p.m.

Showers may occur in the Jaffna District and along the Western and Southern coastal areas in the morning too.  

Heavy falls (about 100 mm) can be expected at some places (particularly in the Central, North-Central, Eastern and Uva provinces and in the Vauniya District).

Misty conditions can be expected at some places in the Western, Sabaragamuwa, Central, North-western and Uva provinces during the morning.

Temporary localized strong winds during thundershowers are expected and the public is requested to take adequate precautions to minimize damages caused by lightning.
