    ‘Nila Mehewara’ at Ibbagamuwa

    Another phase of ‘Nila Mehewara’ National Program was held recently at Ibbagamuwa Central College.

     

    The third stage of this program is being held in the districts of Kurunegala, Kilinochchi, Mullaitivu, Mannar and Vavuniya while it has been implemented in 15 Divisional Secretariat Divisions of Kurunegala already.   

     

    A total of 53 ministries and 80 public sector institutions are participating at this mobile service which provides land deeds, National Identity Cards, driving licenses, spectacles and conducts dental clinics as well as solve land issues. In addition the services of the Coconut Cultivation Board, Agri Insurance, Agrarian Services and Ayurveda Department can be obtained at this mobile service.   

     

    According to a survey, the public in the Kurunegala District had 520,000 problems and of them 80,000 are in relation to not having the National Identity card. The Nila Mehewara mobile service provides all services free of charge and efficiently, said Home Affairs Minister Vajira Abeywardena.
