Several spells of showers will occur in the Western, Sabaragamuwa, North-western and Central provinces and in the Galle and Matara districts.
Showers or thundershowers may occur at a few places in the Uva and Eastern provinces after 2.00 p.m.

Fairly strong gusty winds (40-50kmph) can be expected today (3rd Oct.) in the Northern Province and in Hambantota, Anuradhapura and Monaragala areas, Met. Department said.
