Minister of Health Dr. Rajitha Senaratne yesterday (24thSept.) vested several ward complexes in hospitals in Northern Province with the public built by the Global Fund (GF) at a cost of Rs. 1,824 million.
The ward complexes in Waddakkottai hospital, Kayts Base hospital, Kilinochchi Hospital and Vavuniya hospital were opened by the minister yesterday.
According to minister Senaratne, the Global Fund had implemented 68 development projects in the Northern Province and most of them were Community Health Centers. He also commended the support being extended by international organizations like Global Fund to increase the quality of the health service of the country.
