President Maithripala Sirisena opened the 250th Reverse Osmosis (RO) water treatment plant installed at the Morakewa Sri Saddarmajothikarama temple premises at Ritigahawewa, Horowpothana yesterday (10th Sept.).
The President also bestowed 10 more RO plants for the public in the Anuradhapura District through an online virtual portal.
The RO plants are produced by the Navy's Research and Development Unit with funding from the Presidential Task Force on Prevention of Chronic Kidney Disease (CKD).
The Government official news portal is maintains by the New Media Unit of the Department of Government Information and it was titled "news.lk" and commenced in mid1996 and release to Internet from March 01st, 1997.
