The state of the art new heart surgery unit and Investigation laboratory of Sri Jayewardenepura Hospital was opened by Health, Nutrition and Indigenous Medicine Minister Dr. Rajitha Senaratna recently.
The heart surgery unit was 20 years old and it was built with state of the art facilities. The investment is Rs 250 million.
Minister Senaratna said that people will be able to get heart surgeries done at a reasonable cost at the new unit and assured that the hospital will be developed further.
The Government official news portal is maintains by the New Media Unit of the Department of Government Information and it was titled "news.lk" and commenced in mid1996 and release to Internet from March 01st, 1997.
