People living in government lands for a long time in Balangoda, Imbulpe,Kahawatta, Alapatha and Nivithigala Divisional Secretariat of Ratnapura District are facing many difficulties and a discussion was held under the patronage of Lands and Parliamentary Reforms Minister Gayantha Karunathilaka in parliament to suggest solutions.
At the discussion, it was decided to go and meet the people residing on government lands, get their ideas and solve the problem on 9th and 10th of September.
This meeting was arranged by Ratnapura District MP Foreign Employment Minister Thalatha Athukorala.
In addition, another awareness session in this regard was held under the patronage of Minister Karunatilleke at the Katuthiyambarawa Temple Kuruwita and the Ratnapura Town Hall.
