Several spells of light showers will occur in the Western, Central, Sabaragamuwa and Southern Provinces today.
Showers or thundershowers may occur at several places in the Uva, Eastern and North-central Provinces and Vauniya District after 2.00 p.m.
Fairly strong winds about 40-50 kmph can be expected in the Southern Province.
Temporary localized strong winds during thundershowers are expected and the public is requested to take adequate precautions to minimize damages caused by lightning.
