Fairly strong winds about 50 kmph can be expected over the island, particularly in the western slope of the central hills, Northern, North-central, Uva, and Eastern Provinces and in the Matale and Hambantota Districts.
Showers or thundershowers will occur at several places in the Western, Central, Sabaragamuwa and North-western Provinces and in the Galle District.
Temporary localized strong winds during thundershowers are expected and the public is requested to take adequate precautions to minimize damages caused by lightning.
