Yet another Reverse Osmosis (RO) plant produced by the Navy Research and Development Unit was opened on Friday (2nd June) in Wellawa, Kurunegala village.
The financial assistance for this plant was extended by the Navy and nearly 625 families are benefited from this effort.
The Navy so far has installed 204 RO plants across the country providing safe drinking water for over 101,415 families and over 75,000 school children.
The Government official news portal is maintains by the New Media Unit of the Department of Government Information and it was titled "news.lk" and commenced in mid1996 and release to Internet from March 01st, 1997.
