Showers can be expected in the coastal area of Southern and Western provinces during the morning too.

Fairly heavy falls (about 50 mm) can be expected at some places particularly in the Western, Sabaragamuwa, Central, North-western, North-central and Southern provinces.

Temporary localized strong winds during thundershowers are expected and the public is requested to take adequate precautions to minimize damages caused by lightning.
