Showers or thundershowers will occur at several places over the island except Northern and Eastern provinces today (10th April) after 2.00 p.m.

Temporary localized strong winds during thundershowers are expected and the public is requested to take adequate precautions to minimize damages caused by lightning.

Meanwhile, today the Sun will be directly over Kalladi, Akurana, Giritale, Katuwanwila and Elephant point at about 12:12 noon.
