Showers or thundershowers will occur in many provinces, particularly in the Western, Sabaragamuwa, Central, Uva and Southern Provinces after 2.00 p.m.
Fairly heavy falls (more than 75 mm) can be expected at some places in the Western, Sabaragamuwa, Central, Uva and Southern provinces.
A few morning showers can also be expected in the coastal area of the Eastern province.
Temporary localized strong winds during thundershowers are expected and the public is requested to take adequate precautions to minimize damages caused by lightning.
