Sri Lanka Army troops attached to the Centre for Army Vocational Training (CAVT) at Saliyawewa facilitated to conduct a medical clinic for the benefit of the people living in 13 and 14 zones of the Rajanganaya southern sector on Tuesday (7th March).
According to Army media sources the mobile eye clinic held at the Kalaoya Sri Vijaya Bodhirajaramaya temple was conducted with the assistance of a private optical firm. More than 500 people were screened for visionary defects during the clinic while 384 pairs of spectacles were also distributed among them.
People who need eye lenses and transplantations were also screened during the clinic. The Narammala Jubilee Lion Club had offered to sponsor for the treatment for these people.
