When doctors with special knowledge in Dengue ,Malaria are given transfers it leads to many problems said the minister at a discussion with the members of the College of Community Physicians of Sri Lanka
Dr.Senarathna instructed secretary of Health Anura Jayawickram to amend the transfer system.
He instructed the secretary to give opportunities for doctors to get promoted to higher positions and also to abolish the acting positions.
In the past transfers were given according to the wishes of certain persons and this system should be stopped instructed the minister. A program to develop the community health service was also discussed at this meeting.
