Showers or thundershowers will occur at times in the Northern, North-central, Eastern, Uva and Southern provinces, and elsewhere after 2.00 pm.

Fairly heavy falls (more than 75 mm) are also likely at some places.

Misty conditions are expected in some places of the island during the morning (particularly in the Central and Sabaragamuwa provinces).

Fairly strong winds at times (about 50kmph) can be expected over the country.

Meanwhile, the Met. Department requests public to take adequate precautions to minimize damages caused by lightning.
