Secretary to the Ministry of Defence Eng. Karunasena Hettiarachchi, Secretary to the State Ministry of Defence A.P.G Kithsiri and Chairperson of the Ranaviru Seva Authority Mrs. Anoma Fonseka also participated at this event, which was organized by the Ranaviru Seva authority, under the aegis of the Ministry of Defence.
During the occasion, 90 families living in the "Swarna Jayanthi" Ranaviru village received their vouchers from the State Minister Wijewardene and Secretary Hettiarachchi.
Speaking at the occasion, State Minister Wijewardene stated that, up to date Sri Lanka Army has spent approximately 50-60 million rupees for the rebuilding process, which included the village hospital and nursery schools. He also said that the Ministry of Defence will always look after the families living in the village and will provide all the required support and assistance in the future.
Families living in the "Swarna Jayanthi" Ranaviru village were affected by the Salawa ammo dump fire which erupted on 05th June 2016.
