The ministry of agriculture has taken initiatives to establish seeds and planting material production projects with the participation of private entrepreneurs.

In instances where state sector financial contribution isrequired for the project proposal to make available provisions in the form of matching grant up to a maximum of 50% of the anticipated cost for infrastructure development including the purchase of agricultural machinery and equipment.

If lands are required for the above the above projects to make available unutilized lands of the Department of Agriculture and other state institutions. The ownership of the lands will be held by the Department as well the other institutions and enter into a memorandum of understanding.
