An awareness walk parallel to the World Aids Day was held yesterday in Colombo following the directions given by the Health Minister Rajitha Senarathne.
Addressing the function held at the end of the Walk at the Campbell Grounds, the Director General of Health Services Dr. Palitha Mahipala said that although it had planned to eliminate Aids from the country by 2030, every possible effort would be taken by the authorities to achieve that goal as soon as possible.
Special medical exhibition was also held at the Campbell Grounds.
