However, showers or thundershowers will occur at several places in the Southern, Sabaragamuwa, Central, Uva and Eastern provinces and in the Vavuniya, Anuradhapura and Kurunegala districts after 2.00 p.m.

Light showers may occur along the coastal areas in the Northern and Eastern provinces during the morning too.

Misty conditions can be expected at some places in Western, Sabaragamuwa, Central and Southern provinces during the morning.

Temporary localized strong winds during thundershowers are expected and public is requested to take adequate precautions to minimize damages caused by lightning.
