Showers or thundershowers will occur at most parts of the island after 2.00 p.m.

Showers will occur in Western province and in the Jaffna, Mannar, Puttalam and Galle districts, in the morning too.

Fairly heavy falls (about 75mm) are also likely at some places, particularly in the Northern, North-central and Eastern provinces.

Misty conditions can be expected at some places in Western, Sabaragamuwa, Central and Southern provinces during the morning.

Temporary localized strong winds during thundershowers are expected and public is requested to take adequate precautions to minimize damages caused by lightning.
