    Ananda wins an International Award

    Kingston University  played host to the 17th annual International Convention for Student Quality Circles (ISCQC) held from 23rd to 28th June, welcoming more than 3000 students and staff from institutions around the world who are dedicated to ensuring students are at the core of their learning journey.  From Sri Lanka Ananda, D.S.Senanayake and Colleges participated at the Convention.


    This landmark event helped to bring people together from across the world to discuss and engage in student quality circles.  Kingston is the first university to host the convention, following the pilot experience with schools in many countries.


    The conference theme was 'empowering responsible citizens' in the heart of students' learning and local community.


    The convention programme, consisted  of  Case study presentations, Collage, Debate, Poster and slogan and Skit.


    Sanul Senaratne, Kalhara Bandaranayake, Menura Wanninayake and Charindu Liyanage from Ananda College, Colombo won second place participating on case study presentation. The master in charge Ananda Sumanatilleke accompanied them to London. (KH/HC)
