THe Green Power Development and Energy Improvement Investment Project will be implemented with the aspect of broadening electricity transmission infrastructure, increasing the efficiency of medium voltage network, implementation of demand base electricity management through implementing a pilot subproject in smart grid and metering.
The proposal made by Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe, in his capacity as the Minister of National Policies and Economic Affairs, to obtain funds to implement the above project from the Asian Development Bank, was approved by the Cabinet of Ministers, said Parliamentary Reforms and Mass Media Minister Gayantha Karunathilake.
