Showers or thunder showers are expected at several places in the sea area extending from Colombo to Matara via Galle, and a few showers in other sea areas.

Winds will be Westerly to South-westerly in direction and speed will be 35-40 kmph.

Sea areas extending from Puttalam to Trincomalee via Mannar and Kankasanturai, and from Hambantota to Batticaloa via Pottuvil can be very rough at times due to the increased speed of winds up to 70-80 kmph.

Other sea areas around the island will be fairly rough at times as the winds can strengthen up to 50-55 kmph at times.
