Mayor of Colombo A.J.M. Muzammil and the Mayor of Seoul Won-soon Park signed an Agreement on Friendship and Cooperation between the two cities on Wednesday (June 08) in Seoul, Korea.
The two Mayors during a brief meeting prior to the signing ceremony agreed to share mutual experience in urban development, including Korea's experience in solid waste management.
Seoul and Colombo cities have maintained longstanding collaboration through CITYNET. Seoul is the President of CITYNET and Colombo is an Executive Committee Member and a founder member of CITYNET since 1987.
The City of Colombo will host the 2017 CITYNET Congress.
