Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Dr. Harsha de Silva announced that the work of the proposed Rajagiriya Flyover will commence construction from July 2016.
Announcing through his Face Book page, the Minister added that “It gives me great pleasure to announce that as an interim solution to the total traffic solution in the Megapolis plan, we will soon start work on the Rajagiriya Flyover". Rajagiriya junction is considered a major traffic area and the construction of the flyover is considered to reduce the travel time through that area by half.
The Government official news portal is maintains by the New Media Unit of the Department of Government Information and it was titled "news.lk" and commenced in mid1996 and release to Internet from March 01st, 1997.
