Naval personnel attached to SLNS Thammana in Thalaimannar belonging to the North Central Naval Command, arrested four fishermen engaged in Bottom Trawling in the seas off Thalaimannar on May 09.
Along with the suspects two trawlers and three banned fishing nets were also taken into custody.
The arrested persons and the belongings were handed over to the Assistant Director of Fisheries and Aquatic Resource in Mannar for further investigations.
